  1. Reserve Bank of India (RBI)announced that the licence of Alwar Urban Co-operative Bank in Alwar, Rajasthan has been cancelled due to its bad position to pay its depositors in full and the present financial position of the bank leaves no scope for its revival.
  2. United Bank of Indiasaid that, it will raise up to Rs 1,500 crore by issuing equity shares in one or more tranches.
