  1. Union Cabinet approved new umbrella scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan, PM-AASHA. 
  2. Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has also approved electrification of remaining un-electrified broad gauge routes of Indian Railways
