Essential: Post-graduate degree in Sciences/Engg./Social Sciences/Journalism/Mass Communication/Library and Information Sciences of a recognized University with minimum 60% marks/equivalent grade.
Persons with higher/additional qualifications, research experience, publications, and post qualification experience in documentation and outreach activities would be preferred. Experience
Minimum 6 years of post qualification experience in the field of documentation/outreach.
Candidate should possess excellent writing and speaking in both English and Hindi.

Research Scientist

Age below 40 years. Desirable: Exposure in software development, Programming in languages like NET, PHP, HTML, Java Script, Database creation and handling using SQL Server Oracle

The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. Desirable: Experience in Remote Sensing and GIS and experience in handling GRACE TWS data.

Junior Research Fellow

Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. Desirable: Prior knowledge in Flood Inundation & Drought Modeling, Satellite based Digital Image Processing & GIS Mapping. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Flood Inundation Modeling & Drought Modeling in the North Eastern Region of India. Nature of Work: Installation of Weather equipments in Garo Hills Districts, field survey in flood and drought affected areas of Garo Hills, Meghalaya and processing in GIS. Nature of Work: Above position would require extensive hydrological modeling and field work in the study area.

Graduate degree in any discipline Desirable: Experience of Spring related field survey. Nature of Work: Field Survey of Natural water springs in Ravi River catchment and posted in any place of Ravi River catchment, Himachal Pradesh
Age Limit:
Maximum Age for Research Scientist shall be below 40 years, for Research Associate shall be 35 years and for Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant will be 28 years, as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Govt. of India rules
