Criteria for Alagappa University Vacancy 2022:
Educational
Qualification:

1. Project
Scientist-I - Educational Qualification:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D) or Master’s
Degree in Engineering or Technology in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology
/ Structural Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences from a
recognized Institute / University. Desirable: Two years’ experience in large-scale biological data analysis,
developing bioinformatics related databases and software tools with a proven
record of publications, software products in public domain, Strong
programming skills in HTML, Python, Perl, MySQL and strong knowledge in
Bioinformatics, Computer Aided Drug Design, Molecular Biology, Structural
Biology, Pharmacogenomics, Applied Chemistry, Theoretical & Computational
Chemistry, Plant Biotechnology,
Biochemical and Biophysical Characterization. |

2. Project
Associate-I - Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics/
Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences from a recognized Institute/
University. Desirable: One year experience in large-scale biological data analysis,
developing bioinformatics related databases and software tools with a proven
record of publications, software products in public domain, Strong
programming skills in HTML, Python, Perl, MySQL and strong knowledge in
Bioinformatics, Computer Aided Drug Design, Molecular Biology, Structural
Biology, Pharmacogenomics, Applied Chemistry, Theoretical & Computational

Administrative Assistant/Attendant - Educational Qualification:
Graduate/Master degree in any
discipline. Desirable: Proficiency in administrative work with English fluency, Computer
operations (Microsoft Office) and two years’ experience in maintaining
research projects/administrative experience in an academic institution. |

Selection Procedure for Alagappa University:
Selection Procedure:
- Candidates will be
shortlisted based on qualification and suitability for the project. Only the
short-listed candidates will be called for the interview. A written screening
test may be conducted if more number of applications are received.
- Interviews are likely
to be held over Google Meet online meeting platform. However, depending on the
circumstances, calling shortlisted candidates for personal interview is not
ruled out.
