GSI Driver (Ordinary Grade) Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
a) (i) Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board or
University (ii) Driving license for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) & Heavy Motor
Vehicle (HMV). b) (i) 03 years’ experience in driving of trucks, jeeps or tractors
from recognised organization. (ii) Experience in repairs and maintenance of vehicle. |
Age Limit:

Not exceeding 19 years (relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40
years in accordance with the instructions or as per orders issued by the
Central Government from time to time). Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC as per
Government of India norms. |

GSI Driver (Ordinary Grade) Selection Process 2022:
GSI may follow the
following process to select the candidates.
|
Stage-I: Written Test for knowledge of general knowledge, general
intelligence & reasoning simple arithmetic. (60 marks) |
|
Stage-II: - Trade Test for knowledge of motor mechanism and driving.
(40 marks) |
How to apply
for GSI Driver (Ordinary Grade) Post:
Interested candidates who
fulfil the above mentioned criteria and are willing to serve anywhere in the
Eastern Region, G.S.I. If already in Government Service may apply through
proper Channel with No Objection Certificate obtained from the serving
department alongwith attested photocopies of educational qualifications/
experience/ Caste Certificate etc. It should be ensured that application is
complete in all respects and should be sent to the Additional Director General
& HoD, Eastern Region, Geological Survey of India, Block — DK 6, Sector II,
Salt Lake city, Kolkata — 700091 by Post. The envelope containing the
Application should be marked as "Application for the post of Ordinary
Grade Driver". In case where grading is indicated in alphabet (viz. A, B,
C etc) the applicants should furnish the percentage of marks, calculation
details, which is given on the reverse side of the marks sheet.
The envelope containing the
application should be marked/super scribed "Application for the post of
Ordinary Grade Driver" addressed to the Additional Director General &
HoD, Eastern Region, GSI on the above address by Post to reach within 45 days
from the date of publication of the advertisement up to 17:00 hours i.e. last
date of receipt of application is 26.09.2022. Application received after the
due date and time will not be accepted and are liable to summarily rejected.
