Educational Qualification:

 

(I) SNOW LEOPARD (Duration: 1 Year)

1.

Project Associate - I- Master's in Science (M.Sc.) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Life Science/ Environment Science/ Biotechnology or related subjects with a minimum 1 year experience in relevant field. Knowledge on population estimation techniques, analytical skills, use of software like R, ArcMap, Distance etc., scientific writing skills. Candidates with field experience in Snow leopard habitats (> 3000m), will be preferred.

 

(II) NILGIRI TAHR (Duration: 9 Months)

2.

Project Associate - I- Master's in Science (M.Sc.) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Life Science/ Environment Science/ Biotechnology or related subjects with a minimum 1 year experience in relevant field. Knowledge on population estimation techniques, analytical skills, use of software like R, ArcMap, Distance etc., scientific writing skills. Candidates with field experience in Western Ghats will be preferred.

 

(III) MARINE TURTLES (Duration: 1 Year)

Minimum 2 years field experience of working with large carnivores. Experience in leading large groups in field surveys. Good analytical skills, scientific writing skills, knowledge of wildlife population estimation techniques, good skill of using software like R, ArcMap, Distance etc. Experience of working with lions in the field will be preferred.

(XIII) CLOUDED LEOPARD (Duration: 2 Years)

16.

Project Scientist I (Ecology)/Project Scientist – II (Ecology) - Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University. For PS – II – Three years of post Ph D experience is required. Demonstrated experience/ aptitude in a) spatial analysis and ecological modelling, b) statistical analysis, c) project design and coordination of multi-disciplinary project team and field data collection c) research publications in peerreviewed national/ international journals.

17.

Principal Project Associate (RS/ GIS) - Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ ZoologyMasters’ Degree in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geography or related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. AND Relevant research experience after Masters’ degree is required. Publications in peer-reviewed journals in relevant field. OR Doctoral Degree in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geography or related fields from a recognized University. AND Minimum four (04) years of research experience in relevant field after Masters’ degree is required. Publications in peer-reviewed journals in relevant field.

Have publications in peerreviewed journals, experience in GIS/RS software such as ERDAS Imagine, QGIS & ArcGIS, strong modelling and data analytics skills, knowledge of coding in R and/or Python, should have prepared research/technical reports.

Project Associate-I (Ecology) - Masters’ Degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences or related fields from a recognized University. Candidates who have a Masters’ Degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Genetics/ Marine Biology and/or are pursuing or have completed their PhD need not apply for this post. Previous work experience of wildlife survey/Social surveys/research experience in northeast India. Prior knowledge/ experience of habitat quantification, socioeconomic surveys, occupancy survey, data analysis, population estimation methods will be preferred.
