UPSC Veterinary Officer Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:  

1. Prosecutor in Serious Fraud Investigation Office - (i) Graduate in any discipline plus bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute; OR (ii) Integrated graduate in Law (five years duration) from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience: For Graduate in any discipline plus bachelor’s degree in Law Holders:- One year experience in handling litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization OR For Integrated graduate in Law ( five years duration) Holders: Two years’ experience in handing litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization.

Desirable: (i) Additional one year experience in corporate/ criminal law matters. (ii) Masters’ in Law (LL. M.) from a recognized University or Institute.

2. Specialist Grade III - (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate Degree or diploma in the concerned speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A in Schedule-VI of CHS amendment Rules 2019 i.e. Section-A Doctor of Medicine (Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine); or Diplomate National Board (Medicine/General Medicine).

3. Assistant Professor (Ayurveda) - (i) Degree in Ayurveda Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. (ii) A Post Graduate Degree in the subject/specialty concerned included in the schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970.

4. Assistant Professor (Unani) - (i) Degree in Unani Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. (ii) A Post Graduate Degree in the subject/specialty concerned included in the schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970.

Desirable: Reading, Writing and speaking knowledge of Arabic/Persian/English.

5. Veterinary Officer in Animal Husbandry Unit - (i) A recognized Veterinary qualification included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1982 * (Number 52 of 1984). (ii) Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council or Indian Veterinary Council. Desirable: Professional experience related to dairy/cattle/poultry.

Age Limit:

1. Prosecutor in Serious Fraud Investigation Office - 30 years

2. Specialist Grade III - 40 years

3. Assistant Professor (Ayurveda) - 50 years

4. Assistant Professor (Unani) - 48 years

5. Veterinary Officer in Animal Husbandry Unit - 35 years

Salary Details:

1. Prosecutor in Serious Fraud Investigation Office - Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

2. Specialist Grade III - Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA

3. Assistant Professor (Ayurveda) - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.

4. Assistant Professor (Unani) - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.

5. Veterinary Officer in Animal Husbandry Unit - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.

 

UPSC Veterinary Officer Selection Process 2022:

UPSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Veterinary Officer: 

(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.

(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
