Educational
Qualification:
1. Senior
Scientist and Head - Doctoral degree in
Agriculture subject including relevant basic sciences with 8
years experience in the relevant subject
as Scientist/Lecturer/
Extension Specialist or in
an equivalent position in the Pay Band‐3 of Rs. 15600‐39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/
Rs.6000/ Rs.7000/ Rs.8000 having made
contribution to research/teaching/ extension education
as evidenced by
published work/innovations and impact. Essential: a. For disciplines other than Engineering subject Doctoral degree
in Agriculture subject including relevant
basic science with
8 years experiences in
relevant subject Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension
specialist or in
an equivalent having made
contribution to research/ teaching/
extension as evidence
by published work/ innovations and impact. (Or) b. For Engineering disciplines: Doctoral degree in relevant Agriculture
engineering subject with 6
years experiences as
Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension specialist

equivalent qualifications from
a recognized University. Desirable: 1. Working experience in
Soil & Water
testing laboratory (or) 2. One year experience
in KVK/Extension Education Project
activities from a
reputed institution or firm. 3. Working knowledge of computer. |

Efficiency: The candidates will be given one
dictation test in English or Tamil at 80 w.p.m. for l0 minutes. The
candidates who opt to take the test in English will be required
to transcribe the
matter in 50 Minutes on computer and the candidates
who opt to take the
test in Tamil
will be required
to transcribe the matter
65 minutes on
computer. Short Hand is desirable. |

Fee/Exam Fee for TNBRD Assistant & Stenographer:
Application form must accompany with a Bank Draft / Demand Draft of (a) Rs. 500/ for post of Senior Scientist & Head and (Sl. No. 1 & 2) Subject Matter
Specialist (Horticulture) (b) Rs. 300/ for post of Programme Assistant (Lab Technician), (Sl. No. 3, 4 & 5) Assistant and
Stenographer. (SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities are exempted and the relevant
certificate should be enclosed)
drawn in favour
of “TAMIL NADU BOARD OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT, CHENNAI” payable at Chennai,
failing which the application will be rejected. No other means of payment
like cheque, NEFT, etc.,
The date of
Bank draft should
not be prior to the date of
issue of the advertisement and the same should be
valid for a period of three months. Candidate must write ‘His / Her name and
Post applied’ on the back side of the Bank Draft. |
