UPSC Investigator Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
1. Extension
Officer – Educational: Master Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a
recognized university or institute or Master of Business Administration with
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institute or
Master’s Degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute
or Master’s degree in Agricultural Business Management or Vegetable Sciences
or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a
recognized University or Institute. Experience: One year experience in Agricultural Extension work in the Central or
State Government or autonomous body or Public Sector Undertaking. Desirable: Two years’ experience in formulation and conduct of Extension Training
Programme. |

2. Junior
Scientific Officer (Biology) – Educational: Masters degree in Botany or Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology
or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology or Genetics or Forensic Science with
Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects during all the three years of
bachelor of Science level from a recognised University; OR B.E. or B. Tech in
Biotechnology from recognised University. Experience: Three years experience in research and analytical work in the field of
Biology in any central and state organisation or recognised institute or
university or forensic science laboratories under Central Government and
State Government. Desirable: Experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory. |

3. Junior
Scientific Officer (Chemistry) – Educational: Masters degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the
Institution of Chemist by examination* or Biochemistry or Forensic Science
with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor
of Science level from a recognised University. Note: *Associateship diploma
of the Institution of Chemist by examination qualification will be applicable
only for the departmental scientists available on the date of notification of
the RR (amendment). Experience: Three years experience in research and analytical work in the field of
Chemistry in any central and state organization or recognized institute or
university or forensic science laboratories under Central Government and
State Government. Desirable: Experience of working in a forensic science laboratory. |

4. Investigator
Grade-I - Educational: Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business
Economics/Econometrics from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent;
OR Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce with one paper in
Economics from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent. |

Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Investigator:
|
(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty
five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or
by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit
card. (b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No
"fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and
they are required to pay the full prescribed fee. (c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and
summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be
entertained. (d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can
the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. |
