CSIR-CCMB Project Associate Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
1. Field
Worker - Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University Desirable/ Job description: B.Sc degree in Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Botany, Life Sciences or
related field. This project aims to assess how plant functional traits
explain interspecies variation in seedling response to light and water
availability, and link findings to habitat fragmentation and environmental
change. The candidate will have to spend substantial time in the field
station in the Western Ghats. The responsibilities include: -helping the
project JRF and postdoc with all day to day activities - conduct fieldwork as
planned and needed for project deliverables - manage data entry and
compilation -bring samples to LaCONES and conduct lab work as needed -help
with field station maintenance, vehicle maintenance, management of local
field staff -any other research activity for the project goals as may be
required |

Associate-I – Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or
equivalent Desirable / Job description: Experience in cell biology, proteomics, molecular biology will be
preferred |

3. Senior
Project Associate – Essential
Qualification: (i) Master’s Degree in Natural
Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a
recognized University or equivalent AND (ii) Four years’ experience in
Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science
and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services OR
Doctoral Degree in Science/ Engineering /Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a
recognized University or equivalent Desirable / Job description: At least two years of experience in analysis of high throughput
genomic data such as Next Generation Sequencing based data Good programming
knowledge with proficiency in at least one language such as C, C++, R,
Python, JS, or Perl, as demonstrated by publications or github profile or
other code repositories Should be well versed with Linux/bash/command line
interface, and have the ability to create and modify custom pipelines for
data analysis Experience with analysis of population level genomic data,
clinical genomics, de novo genome assembly, cancer genomics, or metagenomics will
be considered favorably |

4. Project
Scientist- II – Essential Qualification: i) Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or
Technology from a recognized University or equivalent and (ii) Three years
experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific
activities and services Desirable / Job description: Preferably MD/ DNB in Biochemistry/Pathology/ Microbiology with training
in Medical Genetics. Experience in execution of clinical genetic studies will
be considered favorably. The candidate is expected to coordinate with
clinicians, handle a team of technical staff and oversee lab activities in a
large study focused on human infectious diseases |

Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for

Salary Details:

Worker - Rs. 18,000/- + HRA |
|
2. Project
Associate-I - (i) Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National
Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant
Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level
examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies
and Institutions. (ii) Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA as applicable/admissible for others who do not fall
under (i) above. |

3. Senior
Project Associate - Rs. 42,000/- + HRA |
|
4. Project
Scientist- II - Rs. 67,000/- + HRA |
CSIR-CCMB Project Associate Selection Process 2022:
The
candidate(s) shortlisted by CCMB scientists/designated committee have to appear
for interview in person/online before the Selection Committee. The date, time
and venue of the test/interview will be notified in due course through email
only.
