1. Scientist
(BCCSCT-01) - M.E. /M.Tech. in the field of
Materials Science/ Materials Engineering with specialization in polymers/
Polymer Science/ Polymer Engineering Or Ph.D (Science/Engineering)submitted
on the above specialization Desirable Qualifications (After fulfilling
Essential Qualifications): Candidates having
experience and expertise in Polymer design / synthesis, High-performance and
degradable polymers / composites / scaffolds fabrication for tissue engineering
/ regeneration, ink and binder development for 3D printing / bio-printing for
biomedical / Engineering Applications, in depth in vitro and in vivo
experiments / analysis. |
2. Scientist
(EMDSCT-01) – M.E. / M.Tech. in the field of
Ceramic Engineering / Ceramic Technology / Glass & Ceramic Engineering /
Materials Science/ Materials Science & Engineering / Materials Science
& Technology / Materials & Metallurgical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
/ Chemical Sci./Nano-Science & Technology Or Ph.D (Science/Engineering)

D(Sci) in Physics/ Materials science (in the field of non- oxide ceramics and their composite or hard ceramic coatings) with 2 years’ research/industrial experience after Ph.D. Desirable
Qualifications (After fulfilling Essential Qualifications): Research experience in the area of non-oxide ceramics, which include
processing / manufacturing and characterization (mechanical / tribological /
thermo-mechanical and microstructural) of non-oxide ceramic materials
focusing on development of monolithic ceramics / ceramic matrix composites /
hard ceramic coatings for engineering applications. |

research/ work experience in the areas of implementation of lasers / Fiber

years’ post qualification research experience in the areas of implementation

whiteware / traditional ceramics Desirable Qualifications (After fulfilling
Essential Qualifications): Research experience
during Ph.D. on whiteware / traditional ceramic processing and
characterization / industrial solid waste utilization. Experience in product

11. Senior
Scientist (SRSRTC-01) - Ph.D. (Engineering /
Technology) in the field of Refractories Or Ph.D. (Sci.) in the field of
Refractories with 2 years’ post qualification experience in the area of
refractory processing and characterization. Or M.E. / M.Tech in Ceramic
Engineering/Materials Science (Ceramics Specialization) with 3 years’ research
experience in refractories or industrial experience in refractory product
development / application. Desirable
Qualifications (After fulfilling Essential Qualifications): Research experience during Ph.D. on refractory processing and

Candidates are required to submit their Application Fees of Rs.500/-
through NEFT / RTGS / Bank Transfer only in favor of: Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute A/c No. 3026 7963 259 of State Bank Of India, Jadavpur University Branch
IFSC No. : SBIN0000093 payable at Kolkata. No other means of payment of fees will be accepted. The Unique
Transaction Receipt (UTR) No. should be mentioned in the online application
form. For more than one application seperate application fees needs to be
paid and seperate UTR No. generated there on should be mentioned in the
concerned application. Application fee is exempted for the candidates
belonging to SC / ST / PwBD / Women / CSIR Employees. |
