Educational
Qualification:

1. Young
Professional-I - Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture. Desirable: Post Graduate degree in Agricultural Extension/ Economics/ Statics/
Marketing. Experience: one year experience in relevant field. |

2. Young
Professional-II – Essential: M.Sc. Horticulture/ Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable: Working experience preferably in Horticulture crops/ Genetics and
Plant breeding. |

3. Young
Professional-II - Essential: M.Sc. Horticulture/ Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable: Working experience preferably in Horticulture crops/ Genetics and
Plant breeding. |

4. Young
Professional-II - Essential: Master’s degree in Horticulture with Vegetable Science/ Master’s
degree in Agriculture with Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable: Experience in DUS testing of vegetable Crops. |

Associate - Essential: Ph.D. in Biotechnology. OR Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Applied
Genetics with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks
or OGPA & with at least three years of research experience and at least
one research paper in Science Citation Index/NAAS rated (≥4.00) Journal. Desirable: Work experience on CRISPR/Cas9, genome editing, gene cloning &
vector construction. RTqPCR sgRNA synthesis and validation, edit
characterization. Experience: 3 years of experience on CRISPR/Cas9. |

6. Junior
Research Fellow - Essential: Post Graduation in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology)/ Plant
Bio-technology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Horticulture/ Plant Bio-Chemistry/
General Biotechnology/ Agri.-Entomology with NET qualification. Desirable: PG/Ph.D. specialization in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology) with
knowledge of Molecular Diagnostics of Plant Viruses, Bio-informatics and
Transcriptome Data analysis. Experience: Molecular plant virology techniques
and Bioinformatics, transcriptome data analysis skills. |

7. Young
Professional-II - Essential: M.Sc. Agricultural Statistics/ Statistics. Desirable: Practical
experience in handling Agriculture data analysis using SAS/R/SPSS, etc., |

ICAR-IIHR Young Professional Selection Process 2023:
The applications
received shall be screened & only the shortlisted candidates on 1:10 ratio
will undergo a panel/ personal interview.
How to apply
for ICAR-IIHR Young Professional Post:
- All those Candidates who are
desirous of attending the personal interview may send their duly filled
application in the prescribed proforma along with Educational Certificates
& Experience certificate for each post separately so as to reach the
concerned Principal Scientist/ Principal Investigator/ Co-Principal
Investigator of the above Ad-hoc projects/schemes, at IIHR, Bengaluru by
28.01.2023 positively for interview to be held on 09.02.2023. It may be noted
that only those candidates who send their duly filled applications before the
due date shall be permitted to participate in the interview which will be held
from 10.00 a.m. onwards on 09.02.2023 at IIHR campus. It may also be noted that
no separate call letters will be sent. The candidate should mention the name of
PS/PI/Co-PI, Item No. of the post & name of the post clearly on the
application as well as on the envelope, failing which the application is likely
to be rejected. (Eligible candidate list for attending Interview will be
displayed on IIHR Website) Any Changes with regard to Selection/ Schedule of
Interview will be notified at the Institute’s website only.
- All the Eligible Candidates
attending Interview should bring all the original certificates and should be
present at the Institute Campus sharply by 8.30 AM on 09.02.2023 otherwise they
will not be allowed to attend Interview
