UCSL AGM & Draftsman Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
1. Assistant
General Manager (Design) - Educational qualification/Experience Essential: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Naval
Architecture with minimum 60 % marks. 15 years of Managerial Experience in a
Shipyard/Ship Design house/government department related to marine
engineering/ship design, out of which at least 5 years should be as Section
Head/Team lead, with both technical and administrative functions. Hands on
experience in 3D ship design softwares like Neupas Cadmatic, Aviva,
Proficiency in in AutoCAD. Educational Qualification/Experience Desirable: Post graduate degree in Engineering/Naval Architecture/Management
Experience in working in a SAP environment. |

2. Manager
(Structural Engineering Design/Naval Architecture) - Essential: 1. Degree in Naval Architecture with minimum of 60% marks from a
recognized University. Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Applications like AutoCAD, MS Project, MS
Office, Primavera etc. Experience: Essential: i) Minimum of 9 years post qualification managerial experience for
candidates with qualification 1 above. Experience should be in Design
department of • Shipbuilding or • Ship repair or • Offshore Fabrication or •
Companies engaged in providing Ship building design solutions. ii)
Proficiency in ship design software like Tribon/Newpas Cadmatic etc.
Candidates working in PSUs/ Government / Autonomous bodies in the regular
cadre, should have at least one year experience in the immediate lower scale
of pay. Desirable : Experience of working in an ERP/ SAP/ computerized environment. Good
communication skills and working knowledge in English/ Hindi /Kannada. |

3. Deputy
Manager (Machinery Design & Piping Design) – Essential: 1. Degree in Mechanical/ Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineering with
minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Or 2. Three years Diploma
in Mechanical/Marine Engineering from the Board of Technical Education of
State Government. 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and in ship design software like
Tribon/Newpas Cadmatic etc. Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Applications like MS office, MS projects etc. Experience: Essential: i) Minimum of 7 years post qualification managerial experience for
candidates with qualification 1 above.or ii) 10 years managerial experience
for candidates with qualification 2 above. or iii) 5 years supervisory and 3
years managerial experience for candidates with qualification 2 above
Experience should be in design, drawing and calculation of Machinery and
Piping of ships Candidates working in PSUs/ Government / Autonomous bodies in
the regular cadre, should have one year experience in the immediate lower
scale of pay. Desirable : Experience of working in an ERP/ SAP/ computerized environment. Good
communication skills and working knowledge in English/ Hindi /Kannada. |

Manager (Accommodation Outfit design) – Essential: 1. Degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/Civil Engineering with
minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Or 2. Three years Diploma
in Mechanical/Civil Engineering from the Board of Technical Education of
State Government. 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and in ship design software like
Tribon/Newpas Cadmatic etc. Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Applications like MS office, MS projects etc. Experience:Essential: i) Minimum of 7 years post qualification managerial experience for
candidates with qualification 1 above. or ii) 10 years managerial experience
for candidates with qualification 2 above. or iii) 5 years supervisory and 3

UCSL AGM & Draftsman Selection Process 2023:
a) The
method of selection for the post of Executives shall be through Power Point
Presentation and Personal Interview. The weightages are assigned to the
following parameters for the final selection:
- Work
Experience - 80% weightage
- Personal
Interview - 20% weightage
Total - 100
Marks
b) The method
of selection for the post of Draftsman shall include Objective/Descriptive
followed by Practical/Skill test. Accordingly, the weightages are assigned to
the following parameters for the final selection:

- Personal
Interview - 10% weightage
