UPSC Mineral Officer (Intelligence) Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
1. Assistant
Director (Capital Market) - Chartered
Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst
or Master of Business Administration (Finance) or Post Graduate Diploma in
Management(Finance) or Company Secretary from a recognized university or
institute. Desirable: Two years’ experience in the field of capital markets. |
2. Assistant
Library and Information Officer (Kannada) - (i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with Kannada as
major subject. (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library and
Information Science of a recognized University or Institute; Experience: Two years’ professional experience in a Library under Central or State
Government or Autonomous or Statutory organization or Public Sector
Undertaking or University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution. Desirable: (i) Master’s Degree from a recognized University with Kannada as major
subject. (ii) Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information
Science of a recognized University or Institute. (iii) Diploma in Computer
Applications from a recognized University or Institute or Board. |
3. Specialist
Grade III (Radio-diagnosis) - (i) A
recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second
Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate
qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956).
Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule
should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13
of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate
Degree or Diploma in the concerned Speciality of Super-speciality mentioned
in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e. Doctor of Medicine
(Radio-diagnosis);or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology);or Master of
Surgery(Radiology); or Diplomate National Board (Radiodiagnosis/Radiology);
or Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis (DMRD) or equivalent diploma. Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or
super-speciality after obtaining the first Postgraduate degree or five years’
experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma. |
4. Specialist
Grade III (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) - (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First
Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than
licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of
1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third
Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of
section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii)

5. Specialist
Grade III (Tuberculosis) - (i) A recognized
MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule
or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to
the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational
qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill
the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian
Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma
in the concerned Speciality of Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A or
Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis); or Doctor
of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases); or Diplomate National
Board (Tuberculosis)/ (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases); or Doctor of

(Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases; or Diplomate
National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases; or Diplomate
National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases; or
Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) or Diplomate National
Board (Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases); or Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases;
or Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases. Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or superspeciality
after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience
after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma. |
6. Deputy
Director of Mines Safety (Electrical) - Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized
University/Institution or pass in Section A and Section B of the Associate
Membership Examination in Electrical Engineering branch from Institution of
Engineers (India); and Experience: Ten years’ professional experience in generation, transmission or
distribution of Electricity or Maintenance of electrical equipment (including
at least two years’ experience in Electrical Engineering in direct relation
to plant and equipment used in mining). |
7. Deputy
Ore Dressing Officer - Masters Degree in
Ore Dressing or Mineral Processing or Geology or Physics or Chemistry from a
recognized University or Institution OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor
of Technology in Mineral Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy
from a recognized University or Institution. Experience: Seven years experience in a recognized laboratory or plant of Central
Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertakings or recognized
research Institutions or Autonomous bodies or statutory organizations
conducting Mineral Beneficiation and/or Mineral Characterization for
beneficiation of various ores and minerals. Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Ore Dressing or Geology or Mineral Processing or
Physics or Chemistry from a recognized University OR Master of Technology in
Mineral Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy from a recognized
University or Institution |
8. Mineral
Officer (Intelligence) - Master’s Degree in
Geology or Applied Geology or Economics or Bachelor’s Degree in Mining
Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. Experience: Two years’ experience in the field of mining or compilation or
processing of data, pertaining to Mining or geology or utilization and marketing
of minerals and their products in organization dealing with mines and
minerals; or in a Government department dealing with mines and minerals. |

Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for
