UPSC Foreman Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:  

1. Foreman (Aeronautical) -

Educational: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Aeronautical (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) OR Associate Member of Aeronautical Society of India (AMASI) in the relevant field i.e. Aeronautical. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

Experience: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Aeronautical from a recognized organization

2. Foreman (Chemical) –

Educational: Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Chemical from a recognized organization OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Chemical plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Chemical from a recognized organization (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

3. Foreman Computer (IT) –

Educational: Degree in Computer Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Computer (IT) from a recognized organization OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Computer plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Computer (IT) from a recognized organization. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

4. Foreman (Electrical) –

Educational: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Electrical. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

Experience: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Electrical from a recognized organization

5. Foreman (Electronics) –

Educational: Degree in Electronics Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Electronics from a recognized organization OR Master’s Degree in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics as a special subject OR Degree from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in the relevant field i.e. Electronics plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Electronics from a recognized organization (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Electronics plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Electronics from a recognized organization (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

6. Foreman (Metallurgy) –

Educational: Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Metallurgical. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) OR Associate Member of Indian Institute of Metals (AMIIM) in the relevant field i.e. Metallurgical. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

Experience: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Metallurgy from a recognized organization.

7. Foreman (Textile) –

Educational: Degree in Textile Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Textile. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.

Experience: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Textile from a recognized organization

8. Deputy Director of Employment –

Educational: Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics or Commerce or Psychology or Sociology or Social Work or Public Administration or Business Administration from a recognised University or Institute.

Experience: Five years’ experience in any of the following fields: (a) Collection, analysis and interpretation of data, or socio-economic investigation, or research relating to demographics, employment or unemployment and labour market; or (b) Employment service operations including employment or market information, career or employment counseling, vocational guidance and career information; or (c) Experience in the areas of Human Resource recruitment or Management, analytics and Psychometric framework for potential assessment of the jobseekers and dealing with recruitment Portal; or (d) Experience in outreach activities in schools or colleges and conducting job-fairs including integration with academia, local industries, industries associations and training providers; or (e) Experience in organising, developing and implementation of career events, publications to publicize career related activities, mapping the job roles and occupations with the required industry skills, and market trends; or (f) Experience in, Rehabilitation, Placement, Evaluation, Vocational training and employment counseling to the Persons with Disability (DIVYANG)

9. Assistant Controller of Mines -

Educational: (I) (i) Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. (ii) Three years experience in core Mining activity in:-(a) Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer, Or (b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs 44900-142400) or above OR (II) (i) Master of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. (ii) (a) One year experience in core Mining activity in:- Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer, Or (b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs 44900- 142400) or above.

10. Labour Officer –

Educational: (i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Social Work or Labour Welfare or Industrial Relations or Personnel Management or in any other allied subject of a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.

Experience: Three years’ experience in a responsible capacity of Labour Welfare work, industrial relations or personnel management in any organization employing substantial labour force.

Desirable: (i) Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Working knowledge of Hindi

Age Limit: (As on 02.03.2023)

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. 1. Foreman (Aeronautical) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

2. Foreman (Chemical) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

3. Foreman Computer (IT) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

4. Foreman (Electrical) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

5. Foreman (Electronics) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

6. Foreman (Metallurgy) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

7. Foreman (Textile) - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

8. Deputy Director of Employment - Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

UPSC Foreman Selection Process 2023:

UPSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Recruitment Test

2. Interview

 

Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Foreman: 

(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.

(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
