BIS Scientist-‘B’ Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Bio-medical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Environment Engineering & Textile Engineering - 1) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes] 2) Having valid GATE* score of 2021/2022/2023. The GATE score must be valid as on 12.05.2023 (closing date of application).

Chemistry - 1) Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent [in Chemistry discipline only] with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes]. 2) Having valid GATE* score of 2021/2022/2023. The GATE score must be valid as on 12.05.2023 (closing date of application).

Age Limit:

The candidates must be between 21-30 years of age as on closing date of application i.e, as on 12.05.2023.

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. BIS Scientist-‘B’ Selection Process 2023:

Short-listing based on GATE 2021, GATE 2022 or GATE 2023 Score:

Short-listing based on GATE 2021, GATE 2022 or GATE 2023 Score: The shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview will be based on the valid score of GATE 2021, GATE 2022 or GATE 2023, as may be applicable. Short-listing of candidates for Personal Interview will be done in order of merit of valid GATE Scores.
