UPSC Cabin Safety Inspector Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Senior Farm Manager -

(A) Educational: M.Sc. in Horticulture or Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) Experience: Three years regular experience in the field of horticulture crops production or farm management or protected cultivation from Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertaking or Statutory Autonomous organization or recognized research institution or Universities.

2. Cabin Safety Inspector -

(A) Educational: Passed 10+2 from a recognised Board

(B) Experience: Ten years’ experience as Cabin Crew and presently working as Cabin Crew.

Desirable:

(i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or institute.

(ii) At least one year experience as Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approved Safety and Emergency Procedure (SEP) Instructor.

3. Head Librarian –

(A) Educational:

(i) Degree of a recognized University.

(ii) Degree or equivalent diploma in Library Science from a recognized University or Institution.

(B) Experience: About five years’ experience in a Library of standing.

DESIRABLE: Knowledge of one or more of foreign languages.

4. Scientist - ‘B’ -

(A) Educational: Masters Degree in Zoology from a recognized University. (B) Experience: Three Years’ experience in research and technique in the field of Zoology from the Central or State or Union territory Government/ Autonomous Body or Statutory Organizations or Public Sector Undertakings or University or Recognized Research Institutes.

Desirable: Doctorate degree in Zoology from a recognized University or Institute.

5. Specialist Grade III (Ophthalmology) -

(A) Educational:

(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).

(ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Speciality or Superspeciality mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Master of Surgery (Ophthalmology); or Doctor of Medicine (Ophthalmology); or Diplomate National Board (Ophthalmology) or Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology; or Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery.

(B) Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.

6. Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) –

(A) Educational:

(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).

(ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Speciality or Superspeciality mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry); or Doctor of Medicine (Psychological Medicine); or Diplomate National Board (Psychiatry/Psychological Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Diplomate National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Post Graduate Diploma in Psychiatry.

(B) Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.

7. Assistant Chemist -

(A) Educational: Masters Degree in Chemistry /Organic Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable: Two years experience in Ground Water Analysis and Ground Water Chemistry work from any recognized Institute or autonomous body/Government organization

8. Assistant Labour Commissioner –

(A) Educational: A Post Graduate Degree/Diploma from a recognized university in Social work or Labour welfare or Industrial Relations or Personnel Management or a Degree in Law from a recognized university.

(B) Experience: Two years’ experience in the field of Labour Welfare Work/ Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management.

9. Medical Officer (GDMO sub-cadre) -

(A) Educational:

(i) A recognized MBBS qualification included in the First or Second Schedule (Other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holder of Educational Qualification included in part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the written examination provided that, if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment.

10. General Duty Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) –

(A) Educational:

(i) Degree in Homoeopathy of a recognized University or Statutory State Board/Council of equivalent recognized under the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 (59 of 1973).

(ii) Enrolment on State Register or Central Register of Homoeopathy

Age Limit:

1. Senior Farm Manager - 35 years.

2. Cabin Safety Inspector – 40 years.

3. Head Librarian - 35 years

4. Scientist - ‘B’ - 35 years

5. Specialist Grade III (Ophthalmology) - 40 years.

6. Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) - 40 years.

7. Assistant Chemist - 30 years.

8. Assistant Labour Commissioner - 35 years.

9. Medical Officer (GDMO sub-cadre) - 32 years.

10. General Duty Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) - 35 years.

Salary Details:

1. Senior Farm Manager - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

2. Cabin Safety Inspector - Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

3. Head Librarian - Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

4. Scientist - ‘B’ - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

5. Specialist Grade III (Ophthalmology) - Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA

6. Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) - Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.

7. Assistant Chemist - Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

8. Assistant Labour Commissioner - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

9. Medical Officer (GDMO sub-cadre) - Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA

UPSC Cabin Safety Inspector Selection Process 2023:

UPSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Recruitment Test

2. Interview

 

Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Cabin Safety Inspector: 

(a) Candidates (Except Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.

(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.

(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
