CSIR-NIIST Project Associate Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. Project Associate-I – Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized University or Equivalent. Desirable: Lab Experience in Fabrication and Characterization of solar cells. |
| 2. Senior Project Associate – Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial / Metallurgical / Production Engineering or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science from a recognized University or Equivalent and minimum four-year experience in research and development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology organizations. OR Doctoral degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology from a recognized university or equivalent. |
| 3. Project Associate-I – B-Tech in Leather / Textile / food Technology or Engineering. Desirable: Experience in biodegradable or sustainable products development and characterization. |
Age Limit:
| 1. Project Associate-I – 35 Years |
| 2. Senior Project Associate – 40 Years |

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details:
| 1. Project Associate-I – – Rs. 31,000/- +18% HRA for who possess valid CSIR-UGC NET Score (including lectureship) or valid GATE score – Rs. 25,000/- +18% HRA for who do not fulfill the above. |
| 2. Senior Project Associate – Rs. 42,000/- +18% HRA |
| 3. Project Associate-I – – Rs. 31,000/- +18% HRA for who possess valid CSIR-UGC NET Score (including lectureship) or valid GATE score – Rs. 25,000/- +18% HRA for who do not fulfill the above. |
