RCFL Technician Trainee Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on 01.12.2022)

1. Technician (Mechanical) Trainee -

1) Qualification:

a) Full time & regular Three Years’ Diploma in (Mechanical/Allied branches of Mechanical) Engineering/Technology and successful completion of one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973). or

b) The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of Three Years’ Diploma in (Mechanical/Allied branches of Mechanical) Engineering/Technology and successful completion of one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973).

The one-year training (BOAT) should necessarily be completed after passing Diploma in (Mechanical/Allied branches of Mechanical) Engineering/Technology.

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year or Average of Aggregate of last two semesters of the Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates)

OR

2) Qualification:

a) 4 years’ (Eight Semesters) or 3½ years’ (Seven Semesters) full time & regular Diploma in (Mechanical/Allied branches of Mechanical) Engineering/ Technology under Sandwich pattern. Or

b) The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of 4 years’ (Eight Semesters) or 3½ years’ (Seven Semesters) full time & regular Diploma in (Mechanical/Allied branches of Mechanical) Engineering/ Technology under Sandwich pattern.

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year or Average of Aggregate of last two semesters of the Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates) under Sandwich Pattern (4 or 3½ years’ course including one-year industrial training).

2. Technician (Electrical) Trainee -

1) Qualification:

a. Full time & regular Three Years’ Diploma in (Electrical/Allied branches of Electrical) Engineering/Technology and successful completion of one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973) or

b. The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of Three Years’ full time & regular Diploma in (Electrical/Allied branches of Electrical) Engineering/Technology and successful completion of one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973).

The one-year training (BOAT) should necessarily be completed after passing Diploma in (Electrical/Allied branches of Electrical) Engineering/Technology.

2) Qualification:

b) The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of 4 years’ (Eight Semesters) or 3½ years’ (Seven Semesters) full time & regular Diploma in (Electrical/Allied branches of Electrical) Engineering/ Technology under Sandwich pattern.

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year or Average of Aggregate of last two semesters of the Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates) under Sandwich Pattern (4 or 3½ years’ course including one-year industrial training).

3. Technician (Instrumentation) Trainee -

1) Qualification: Full time & regular B.Sc.(Physics) Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects during any of the 3 years course of B.Sc. Degree and passing of The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) examination in the Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant) i.e. IM(CP) Trade.

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year or Average of Aggregate of last two semesters of B.Sc.(Physics) Degree Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates).

The NCVT in IM(CP) Trade is necessarily be completed after passing of B.Sc.(Physics) Degree.

OR

2) Qualification:

a) Full time & regular Three Years’ Diploma in (Instrumentation/Allied branches of Instrumentation) Engineering/Technology and successful completion of one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973). or

a) The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of Three Years’ Diploma in (Instrumentation/Allied branches of Instrumentation) Engineering/Technology and successful completion of one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973).

The one-year training (BOAT) should necessarily be completed after passing above prescribed qualification

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year or Average of Aggregate of last two semesters of the Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates).

OR

3) Qualification:

a) 4 years’ (Eight Semesters) or 3½ years’ (Seven Semesters) full time & regular Diploma in (Instrumentation/Allied branches of Instrumentatio

29 years for Unreserved/EWS category, For SC / ST Category – 34 years, For OBC Category – 32 years

Additional Concession for Children / family members of the victims of 1984 riots/ Ex Serviceman – 5 years

+++ Ex-serviceman: The criteria for full time regular course shall not be insisted upon in case of Ex-serviceman provided, they possess a requisite equivalent qualification that has been acquired during the service period and is recognized by AICTE/MHRD, GOI. Ex-serviceman claiming an equivalence in qualification shall be required to produce a copy of equivalence certificate by the Concerned Ministry.

RCFL Technician Trainee Selection Process 2023:

RCFL may follow the following process to select the candidates.

Online Test

2.

Trade Test

The online test will be conducted at the centers in cities of Mumbai and Nagpur. Medium of Test will be in Marathi, Rajbhasha (Hindi) and English.

 

Application Fee/Exam Fee for RCFL Technician Trainee: 

Non - refundable application fee of Rs. 700/- (Rupees Seven Hundred only) plus Bank Charges and applicable taxes (GST) for the posts in Unionized category are required to be paid by General, OBC and EWS category candidates at the time of submission of online application form. Candidates can opt to pay either through internet banking account or credit/ debit card. No other mode of payment of application fee would be accepted. Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are, therefore, advised to verify their eligibility before payment of application fee. SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM/Female category candidates are not required to pay any application fee.
