Madras High Court District Judge (Entry Level) Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
(i) Must be a Citizen of India (ii) Must possess a Degree in Law of a University in India established
or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or an Institution
recognized by the University Grants Commission, or any other equivalent
qualification and got enrolled as an Advocate under a State Bar Council
established under the Advocates Act, 1961, And, (iii) (a) Must be practising as an Advocate or Pleader in the High Courts
or Supreme Court or Courts Subordinate thereto and must have practiced for a
period of not less than Seven years on the date of the High Court’s
Notification for recruitment to the post. Or (b) Must be an Assistant Public Prosecutor having not less than Seven
years of experience as an Advocate and/or Assistant Public Prosecutor on the
date of notification. Or (c) Must have practised for a period of not less than Seven years on
the date of notification and continue to be a practising Advocate / working
Assistant Public Prosecutor till the date of selection and appointment. |

Fee/Exam Fee for Madras High Court District Judge (Entry Level):
|
Examination fee is Rs.2,000/-. Note: Total Fee exemption for All Women candidates and candidates
belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with
Disabilities. Mode Of Payment Of
Examination Fees: (i) After submission of application, the applicant shall take printout
of 'Challan' that is generated and remit the requisite fees along with
service charges levied by the bank before the last date prescribed for
remittance of fee, at any branch of Indian Bank. The branch concerned will
retain the Bank Copy of the 'Challan' and return the “Applicant Copy” and the
"High Court Copy" to the applicant, which shall be retained by the
applicant and the "High Court Copy" shall be scanned and the same
shall be uploaded in the Recruitment portal of the Madras High Court and it
can be cited for all future references/disputes, if any, regarding the
payment of fee |
